Suzanne is a Senior Research Fellow at the DECIPHer (Development and Evaluation of Complex Interventions for Public Health Improvement) UKCRC research centre of excellence, and with the Evaluation of Interventions NIHR Health Protection Research Unit (HPRU).
Her research interests include health inequalities, adolescent health and physical activity. She is the Principal Investigator of the Travel to Work multi-centre randomised controlled trial funded by NIHR-PHR.
Suzanne is a qualitative researcher with expertise in the development and implementation of process evaluation within randomised controlled trials. Suzanne advises on qualitative research methods with the MRC ConDuCT (COllaboration and iNnovation in DifficUlt and complex randomised Controlled Trials) hub, and is co-author of the MRC PHRN (Public Health Research Network) guidance on process evaluation of complex public health interventions.
Before becoming a full time academic, Suzanne spent 20 years as a youth and community development worker in disadvantaged areas of Bristol and Glasgow.
